bows by William Watson

Started in the case shop in 1945 and quickly moved on to bows. Apprenticed to William Retford, the first to be taken on for some time and Retfords “last pupil”. He was left handed and particularly skilled at sawing out the intricate fleur de lys designs. Exceptional craftsmanship.

His bows for Hill are stamped with the no 7.
