Albert Leeson (b 1904-d 1946)
Joined hills in the post war intake of apprentices 1920 , was one of William C Retford's favorite pupils, he was quickly put to work on the finest bows and was eventually allowed to work totally unsupervised which was rare. A keen violinist. The other half of the "Gold Squad".
Knocked down and killed by a London bus in 1946.
His bows are stamped with the number 3.
